for your cats while you are
away!
As someone who lives with cats I know that boarding
your cats when you go on holiday can be as stressful to you as it is to your
beloved feline friends. Cats are by nature territorial and removing them
from their known and familiar environment can distress and confuse them.
Placing them in an enclosed building, with little access to the outside world
and a multitude of alien smells to take in can make them feel very insecure,
which is the opposite of what you had in mind when you booked them in! As
a result the cat you bring home after your relaxing time away can be nervy,
aloof or sometimes plain vicious, as he cannot understand why he has been
taken away and then returned, and could be worried about which other cat
has got into his 'patch' whilst he has been away. He may resort to
're-spraying' the area including the house to reassert his authority, or
may simply go off his food for a while. Either way its unsettling, and leaves
you feeling guilty at ever contemplating a holiday!
Purr-fect Solutions offers an alternative to you and your cat. We will visit
your pet at home, in his own environment, as many times as required to feed
and provide clean water. We will make sure your cat is well, eating sufficiently
and pet and groom as needed. As well as looking after your cats, who after
all do tend to use their home as a hotel/restaurant mainly and therefore
do not require 24 hour supervision, we can make sure your post is tidied
from the front door. We will water plants inside and out as requested, and
wash and clean up after the cat has eaten his food. We can be on hand if
any emergencies occur, such as unexpected water leaks (it has happened!)
and have access to an emergency plumber if needed. If your cat does require
vetinary assistance whilst you are away we will always ring you to get permission
first unless it is assessed as a real emergency, in which case we will make
sure your usual vet is on hand at the earliest opportunity.
We will send regular reports to you for reassurance via text messages where
possible and if requested. We will always take contact details of someone
you trust in case we cannot get hold of you and a decision about the cat
or the house needs making.
We provide uninterrupted stress-free care for your cat, reassurance and extra
house security for you. This service is insured against any damage to your
house, and injury (non-accidental) to your pets and loss of door keys.
